Coupon Savings Monday!!

[Coupon Savings Monday is when I show you exactly how much I spent on groceries, and exactly how much I saved, just by using coupons. Coupons really work, so if you have any questions, never hesitate to ask!]

For some of you who are new to my blog, I wanted to explain the coupon-ing & saving process. Say good bye to expensive grocery store trips, and HELLO to SAVINGS! Here are a few FAQ:

1. Where do I get coupons?
You can get them in Sunday's newspaper. Buy two newspapers, that way you'll have double the coupons! Proctor & Gamble (P&G), Red Plum, & Smart Source are the three main companies who put out coupons. Looks for these in the paper.

2. How do I get started?
The main thing is to get organized. Most coupon Moms buy a 3-Ring notebook or a notebook that zips, with baseball card holders (to hold the coupons) and dividers to divide the different types of coupons. This seems to work best, as it's easier to find your coupons and organize them. I have seen lots of people walking around in the grocery store with their notebooks!

3. How does this work?
Only use your coupons on items that are on sale. For this reason, you may have to visit three or four grocery stores in order to get everything you need for the best deal. In most places you can use a manufacturer coupon and the store coupon together, and remember that you don't have to buy both items if they are buy one get one free. You can just get one, and get it half off! If you do want to get two, make sure you have 2 coupons for each item.

So, now that we have covered the basics of coupon-ing, have a look below to see how I did this week on groceries!

I am so envious! I cut coupons, but they never seem to make it to the store with me...
