So We Carved a Pumpkin...

We were a little late getting a pumpkin this year. Usually we have had a pumpkin (or two) carved by the 1st of October. I guess, judging by the warm/hot temperatures at the beginning of this month, we forgot we were supposed to be celebrating orange (dead) leaves and pumpkins!

Finally though, the air got cooler and we realized that we didn't have a pumpkin yet! So, last night we went and got ourselves a pumpkin. The Hubs looks forward to getting a pumpkin, because he has mastered carving his favorite college football team's logo into the pumpkin...

That my friends, is a Clemson Tiger Paw! I must say, it is a pretty good looking Paw too. The Hubs does a really good job with it. I leave him alone, and let him work! He was so proud of it last night, as he carried it out to the patio, stuck a candle in it and then lit it. He even went downstairs to see what it looked like from the road. I thought about "A Christmas Story" when the Dad gets that Leg Lamp. The Hubs just marveled at it.

This morning I sprayed it down with Pam cooking spray to keep it from rotting so fast. I plan to show it off tonight at my Tupperware party! Which, by the way, I probably should have rescheduled, because I went from having around 10 people coming...to six. That's kind of disappointing, because this party is my first party and I was hoping to make enough to buy the Tupperware kit that I need in order to book my own parties and make money! Hopefully it'll be a good party tonight though.

I have an afternoon planned of toasting pumpkin seeds, baking brownies, and spot cleaning the house. Sounds exciting!

Good luck with your party tonight! I just started selling with the whole scentsy thing. I am a candle addict. I figure this would help cover the cost of my addiction :)

AJ&M: I love your blogs. I am a new blogger, just started 2 days ago. Do you have any advice for me? How did you make your blog so aesthetically pleasing while entertaining to many audiences? Thanks for any help you can provide. BTW- good luck at your party.

Pam keeps it from rotting as quickly as they generally do. It works pretty well :)

& Jessica, my blog didn't always look the way it does now. I just had to teach myself some things. I used other people's blogs to kind of get an idea of what to do, and how I wanted it to look. Where I used to use premade templates, I finally made my own and was happy with it. If you have any questions of web sites and stuff, please feel free to email me :)
