One of the things I want to do when I retire (if I live that long) is to travel. I have a list of places that I would love to go, and see. Since you won't find me on an airplane, I'll just have to settle for the pictures in books of locations like England, Australia, and Ireland, but here are a few places that I would love to visit and they don't require an airplane!
3 - Halifax
I'm a Titanic nerd. In the 11th grade, I did a 10 page research paper on the Titanic, and became obsessed! I would love to visit Halifax to see where they buried all of the victims, including a relative of mine, who by the way was the Chief Officer of the ship. Yeah, I'm famous. Betcha didn't know that now did ya?
2 - Manhattan, New York
I'm sure that this city is even more remarkable in real life. I'd love to see Times Square, visit the Today Show in Rockafeller Center, and pretend like I can afford the clothes, bags and jewelry in the department stores. Not sure if I'll ever make it to New York, but I would love to go!
1 - The Bahamas
My Mom & Dad left this past Saturday on a Cruise for the Bahamas, and I've been a little jealous. I would love to go on a Cruise and hit up the Bahamas. I'm a beach bum, and I know that I would love visit an exotic beach! To my Parent's defense, they're 45 years old and this is their first Cruise. They deserve it...but still...I'd love to be on that boat & that ship with them!
Oh, and you guys totally missed a good post yesterday. I mean really, I went from having 20 comments the day before to 8 yesterday. I'm not usually worried about comments, but that was a pretty big drop. Either I sucked, or you all went on vacation. Anyway, if you want to...you can click here to read yesterday's post. I still love you guys :)

I take it you are afraid of flying? Ever since I had Hayden I am a much more nervous flyer!
Nice plug for your post yesterday... I got about half the comments yesterday that I normally get. Oh well... I'll see later if today's blog post gets the same response.
I used to be a HUGE Titanic nerd also! Everything about it was completely fascinating. I never did a project, but I have so many books. That is awesome that you are related to the Chief Officer of the ship!
I'm going with the it's summer and people are too busy playing to visit blogs. or something.
I just want money to take vacations. and cruise would be heaven
Australia - Hawaii - California
Cruising is the best vacation ever...you can eat or drink any time of the day or night, it is fun, you can see different places without have to pack and unpack...
Okay, your parents are 45???!! Do you realize I just turned 41?? I feel like such an old fart! How come they're going on Bahama cruises and I'm stuck home with a bunch of whiny children under the age of 5??
Your parents were very smart to start having children early!!! I remember once you wrote a post about being a young mother...I think you're wise to follow in your parent's footsteps! You got your act together, girl!
I would love to visit NYC as well! I would love to ice skate there at Christmas time or see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person!!
You know, I think we're all seeing a drop in comments. The blogosphere seems to have slowed down with summer slowly approaching. Admittedly, I haven't been blogging as much (only 2 posts this week) and I certainly have lagged in my fair share of reading/commenting as well!
Crusies are the best! And NYC is so much fun to visit in the holiday season, everything is decorated so beautifully!
Oh Helene don't worry - I turn 43 in a month & a half. I am old too.
LOVE the idea of Halifax! Titanic is so engaging who wouldn't be a Titanic nerd?
I so want to go to Halifax. We all should go together! Manhattan is amazing, I hope you get there someday. And the Bahamas, sigh, maybe someday right?
I like the private beaches in the Bahamas but the place itself is kinda run down, scary and unsafe.
I mist want to visit:
Alaska - whales
Scotland - castles and history
and go back to Key West (where my heart belongs)
I've been to NYC one time, and it was soooooo much fun! I came in fourth place on an online game show and they flew me out to be an alternate on the show.... They put me in a hotel right near Times Square! You should visit.... You'll have a great time!
