The "BIG" Winter Storm of 2010

Okay, so I'm being sarcastic. It didn't start doing anything at my house until about 10 o'clock last night. All it was doing then was sleeting. The only metaphor I know to use, to describe what we woke up to this morning...it looked like a snowman had sneezed on our front lawn. I wouldn't even call the amount of snow on our grass a dusting. I will tell you one thing though, it's cold outside.

The funny thing about weather though, is 10 minutes down the road they got 2 to 3 inches of snow. My Parents got a lot of snow! I am kind of jealous of everyone's snow pictures on Facebook. I don't have any cute pictures of Bree, playing in the snow. I guess I could take her outside now and play...but what fun is ice?

Anyway, here's some pictures of the snowman snot:

That's so weird that people 10 minutes from you got that much more snow than you! I liked the pics of your snowman snot though. LOL! Funny girl!

I love your metaphor of a snowman sneezing. Hilarious! I'm sorry (?) you didn't get as much as predicted!

I was wondering what you meant by a "snowman sneeze"-- thanks for including pictures!

Where I grew up in Ohio, we had something called the "snowbelt"; it was the region where lake effect snow was most likely to hit. I kid you not, there were days that we'd have a good 6-8 inches in our yard, and five minutes away at my grama's house, she'd have 1-2 inches, sometimes nothing at all. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

I agree, ice is no fun at all!
