Okay, onto Top 3 Thursday, a new(er) blog carnival started up by Confessions of a Working Mom and The (Un)Experienced Mom. Each week, they pick a category for you to share your Top 3 thoughts on. It's lots of fun, so I hope you'll join in!

My Top 3 Quirks:

quirk |kwərk| noun - a peculiar behavioral habit

1. I absolutely cannot stand for there to be dishes in the kitchen sink. I am somehow able to work it out so that even when the dishwasher is running, there are no dirty dishes in the sink, waiting to go in next. I still don't know where I got this from, because growing up, there were always dishes in the sink. I feel like my house is 10x cleaner when there are no dishes crowding the kitchen sink.

2. I have the clothes in my closet organized by season, beginning with Summer. From there they are organized by t-shirts, tank tops, cardigans, quarter length sleeves tees, long sleeved tees, sweaters, vests, hoodies, and jackets. I'm not sure if this is a strange habit, but I have seen my Mothers closet...and it looks nothing like mine. She even has shirts hanging on their hangers inside out! Oh the horror!

3. I get fully dressed, even if I'm just running outside to the car. I'm talking, make up, hair done, coordinated outfit and everything. Why? My Grandmother always did the same thing. She put on her nicest house gown to walk to the mailbox, and if she was just running up the road to grab a bite to eat through the drive thru, she would be a dressed to a tee. This attribute gets on Paul's nerves a little I think. Sometimes he just wants to hop in the car and go for a ride, and of course, I have to change clothes.

What are some of your quirks?

I am just the same way when it comes to dishes in the sink and also it drives me nuts when people leave glasses out on tables or the counter, basically anywhere but the sink. My hubs is very guilty of this.

I guess a quirk for me would be, I'm very neat when I'm at home and at the office, but the inside of my car is a trainwreck. I have no idea how I end up letting it get that way, and it's not like I look like a candidate for Hoarders or anything, but it's still pretty bad.

I try to be the same way with dishes. I would rather clean the kitchen while G is eating than eat myself.

I'm the same way with the dishes! haha

Glad I did my Top 3 early today and clicked on your blog, it's super cute and I'm gonna follow you too! :)

I was just reminded about how I clean when I am mad and have been in an argument...quirky you say...yes I am...the one about the dishes in the sink is what reminded me of my cleaning when mad quirk...Have a great day sweetie!

Hey... feel like coming over and organizing my closet? ;p

I'm the same way about getting all made up before leaving the house. I do it before I even leave my room half the time. I have to give myself a once-over in the mirror before I go anywhere, and continue to do so in the rear-view in the car on the way to wherever I'm going.

I see I am not the only one who likes to have the dirty dishes cleaned. It just bugs me because I know it needs to be done, so I have to do it.

You sound like you have the same closest as a friend of mine. I just can't keep mine nice and neat like that. Every time I get dressed, I change my outfit at least 3 times. When I do that I get lazy and don't put the clothes I tried on back onto the hangers right away. OOPS!

Your quirks are so much neater than mine, lol! I never wear make-up and my house is usually dirtier than I want it to be...although I am obsessed with cleaning out the filter in the vaccuum cleaner. Thanks for sharing!

I love that ou get fully dressed- that is not a quirk that is being considerate to the world :-) And YippEE I'm your latest follower- stop by my place when you get the chance!

What is it with those dirty dishes? I don't like the dishes stacked up in the sink either. I can usually get away with a neatly stacked pile next to the sink, as long as there's not a TON of things. If that's the case I will just wash them all by hand. I can't stand to load the dishwasher and have the stuff sit in it for a day or two while we fill it up. ugh.

GAH!!! I am the exact same way about dishes! It actually drives me (and Dave) crazy. There could be a spoon sitting in there, and it will be all I can think about. I will have to wash it. Talk about OCD on my part!

AS far as the other ones go, you just like to be organized...nothing wrong with that! xoxox

I think we are TWINS!!! I was nodding my head "yes, yes, YES!" to all your quirks (btw, love your definition and phonetic spelling!).

I used to be really bad about dishes in the sink, especially since we have a dishwasher. Thankfully DH is finally putting his own dishes away!

My hubs endlessly leaves dishes inthe sink. The dishwasher is literally a step to the right of the sink. WTF? Annoys me to death! My most prevolent quirk is my need to clean every day. I clean in every day the way most clean once a week or so.

Sorry....just now getting here :(

Quirks?

Haha too many to list.

People who try running me over in parking lots.

People who are inconsiderate.

People who lie, cheat and steal there way through life

Are those quirks?

You know I love you, but you would think I was the biggest slob ever. There are dishes in my sink, no organization in my closet, and I go out looking like....like...well, not put together.

I can't STAND dishes in the sink. I've even blogged about it. I'm visiting my mom and loading her dishwasher, am I nuts or what? I'm not even that much of a neat freak to be honest!

that's a great idea about your closet!! I may have to 'steal' that idea!!

I'm not so great with the closet, anymore. But, although my clothes aren't as perfectly organized like they used to be, I still organize by season, style, (tanks, tees, blouses, etc) and color. I'm so proud of you my little grasshopper. Can I say I love you, now?? ;)

I too, hate dirty dishes in the sink. Even 1 or 2!!! I need to get them out of there, and clean, immediately!!

Well your article helped me truly much in my college assignment. Hats incorrect to you enter, will look progressive for the duration of more interrelated articles in a jiffy as its anecdote of my choice subject-matter to read.
